Slovene Government about Protection Legislation and Ironworks Reorganization

The Slovene government discussed and passed at Thursday's regular session a report about the operations of the Slovene Railways (SŽ) in the first quarter of 1997. It also adopted a bill on building land and a draft amendment to the Law on the Notary Office. It raised the price of gas by 4.2 percent, to take effect on 1 August, and adopted a decree about conditions under which this year's wheat and rye can be purchased. The government also passed a draft amendment to the Local Administration Law, which meets all the requirements of the Constitutional Court.
