Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 30 June through 5 July
Ljubljana, 5 July - At the beginning of last week, i.e. on 30 June, expired the deadline to hand in privatization vouchers at the value of SIT 567 billion (US$ 3.6 billion). The Slovene citizens received them in October 1993 to use them in the privatization of publicly owned companies. At the expiration, nearly SIT 67 billion of voucher resources have not been used yet. Since 1993, when the privatization process has started in Slovenia, 1035 companies have concluded the privatization getting the second approval by the Agency for Privatization, with 355 companies still waiting for the second approval.
