May Trade Balance Deficit Lower than in May 1996
Ljubljana, 19 July - Slovenia exported US$ 679.8 million worth of goods in May, importing US$ 789.5 million, according to preliminary data of the National Statistical Office. Trade deficit amounted to US$ 109.7 million, down 37.6 percent from the same month last year (US$ 175.7 million). Exports amounted to 86.1 percent of imports, an improvement from 79.3 percent in May 1996.
