NE region promised investment boost as govt visits

Maribor, 1 July - Podravje, Slovenia's second largest region, was offered the prospect of EU-subsidised investment for a development breakthrough as the government toured the north-east on Wednesday with Prime Minister Janez Janša saying the goal was to keep young people, in particularly the highly-educated, at home.
