Gross wages saw a nominal increase of 1.2 percent to SIT 143,169 and a real decrease of 1 percent in May over April. Nominal gross wages rose nearly everywhere, with earnings growing faster than retail prices in the energy, restaurant service, traffic, storage, communications and health sectors, the Economic Mirror, a monthly bulletin of the government Office for Macroeconomic Analyses and Development, writes in its latest edition.
