"Zdravljica played in Tokyo already on third day": The Slovenian whitewater canoe master Benjamin Savšek won the title of the Olympic champion yesterday in what is the first gold medal for Slovenia in the sport in the Summer Olympics. (front page, 18)

"Luka Dončić's recital buries Argentinians": The Slovenian men's basketball team showed already in its first Olympic appearance ever that it could contend for the top spots, as it defeated the World Cup runners-up Argentina 118:100. (front page, 19)
