Were Slovenia carrying out its reforms absolutely correctly, it would, given its comparative advantages, leave all including the most successful former socialist countries far behind. Yet, it seems lately the latter are increasingly catching up with Slovenia. Is it because Slovenia is opening up to foreign investment far slower than other Central European countries and wastes large sums to keep alive its futureless industries, daily Dnevnik writes on Monday.
