Bank of Slovenia to Appeal against Cyprus Court Ruling by 18 August

The Bank of Slovenia (BS) has received an English translation of the Cyprus Court ruling over Slovenia's claim for National Bank of Yugoslavia funds deposited in Cyprus. The court decided that it neither had the right nor it wanted to make a judgement in the case, suggesting that the dispute can only be resolved through negotiations. The Bank of Slovenia will appeal against the ruling by 18 August and inform the public about the parts of the ruling that the central bank finds contentious, the Slovene News Agency learned on Monday from Samo Nučič, deputy governor of the Bank of Slovenia.
