Slovenia marks European Week of Sport and national Sports Day
Ljubljana/Bled, 22 September - The European Week of Sport will be marked in Slovenia with an official state ceremony in Bled on Thursday, also marking the Day of Slovenian Sports, a new national holiday that was introduced last year. Several sports-related EU presidency events will take place between Wednesday and Friday as well.
