Delo about the Succession to Former Yugoslavia

Ljubljana, 1 October - Belgrad has been claiming for several years FRY is the only legal successor to former Yugoslavia, not taking into account the judgement by the Badinter commission, not U.N. resolutions or recommendations made by the EU. Obviously Belgrade hopes the other successors will soon no longer be of an equal opinion, and that its traditional allies will help it implement its thesis. But probably in vain, writes Delo on Wednesday, a day after the State Department in a statement reconfirmed U.S. does not consider Belgrade the only successor.
