No Changes in the Monetary Policy of the Bank of Slovenia

Ljubljana, 1 October - BS/COUNCIL
The Council of the Bank of Slovenia (BS) assessed at a session Tuesday the implementation of the monetary policy in 1997. The money aggregate M-3 rose by 13.8 percent by the end of the June-August trimestral period, which means the movements are within the set margin. The council therefore decided the central bank will not make any changes in the monetary policy, according to which the M-3 is to rise by 18 percent by the last quarter of the year 1997.
