More Foreign Tourists in August

Ljubljana, 2 October - 310,798 tourist stayed in hotels in Slovenia in August, making nearly 1.2 million of overnight stays, the National Statistical Office reported. More than a half, 166,230 tourists, were from abroad, and 144,568 from Slovenia. The number of foreign tourists edged down one percent over August 1996, while the number of foreign tourists surged by 23 percent.
