Minister Senjur Focuses on Economic and Social Parts of EU Accession Strategy
Ljubljana, 4 October - SLOVENIA/LUXEMBOURG/SENJUR
Slovene Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur presented Slovenia's pre-accession strategy focussing on the economic and social aspects Saturday, the second day of the informal meeting of the EU ministers for common market in Luxembourgh's Echternach. Apart form the EU ministers for common market, the meeting gathered their counterparts form Central and Eastern Europe and European Commission officials. Head of the Slovene delegation, Minister Senjur spoke about the economic and social issues of the Slovene pre-accession strategy. Moreover, he delineated some institutional reforms and the monitoring tools for the implementation of acquis communautaire in the common market. He also tackled the public information campaign aimed at effective communication activities through which the general public would be better informed about the issues concerning Slovenia's integration in the EU.
