IMF Executive Director Meets Premier Drnovšek

Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek received Thursday International Monetary Fund Executive Director Willy Kiekens, who is paying a working visit to Slovenia. Kiekens said Slovenia had achieved the best results of all transition countries, also holding the best risk factor. He added economic adjustment to EU standards would be of crucial importance for Slovenia's further economic system, particularly in terms of meeting EMU convergency criteria, the prime minister's office reported.
