Meager Trade in August

Ljubljana, 9 October - Slovenia's exports amounted to US$ 494.9 million in August, the lowest figure this year. Imports were equally poor at US$ 559.2 million, according to preliminary statistical data. Although August is traditionally the worst month in terms of foreign trade, it was further reduced this time by a strong U.S. dollar exchange rate, the National Statistical Office reported.
