Slovenia Celebrates Sixth Anniversary of Monetary Independence
Ljubljana, 9 October - ANNIVERSARY/MONETARY/INDEPENCE/ARHAR
Slovenia introduced its national currency, the tolar, on 8 October 1991. To mark the sixth anniversary of the nation's monetary independence, traditional Banks of Slovenia awards for the best graduation papers by bankings students were presented Thursday by Bank of Slovenia Governor France Arhar and BS Research Commission head Ivan Ribnikar. An exhibition on Slovene banking since 1984 has also opened on central bank's premises on Thursday.
