Deputy Prime Minister's Statement on Relations with Carynthian Slovenes

Carynthian Slovenes and Slovenia are surprised and concerned over recent claims by Carynthian (Kaernten) provincial governor Kristof Zernatto for recognition of the Old-Austrian minority in Slovenia and the restitution of their property on 77th anniversary of the plebiscite of the Austrian province of Carynthia. Zernatto's statements are a step away from the agreed manner of resolving outstanding bilateral problems, Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister Marjan Podobnik said in a state released Saturday.
