DELO

Chemical plant explosion
"Five people dead in explosion": Five people died and two sustained severe burns in an explosion at the chemical company Melamin in Slovenia's worst industrial accident. (front page, page 4)

New government
"He will annul Janša's tax reform": The coalition agreement of the new government is to be unveiled on Monday with one of their plans being to annul the Janez Janša government's income tax reform. The general tax relief of EUR 4,500 will remain in force but there will not be further rises. (front page, page 2)

Museums
"Slovenian women leading foreign museums": Slovenia is producing top culture managers, says Aleksandra Berberih Slana, director of the National Liberation Museum in Maribor, who will take over as director the Zagreb City Museum on 20 June. Zdenka Badovinac, the former director of Moderna Galerija, heads the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and Andreja Hribernik of Koroška Gallery will take over as director of Kunsthaus in Graz in January 2023. Wages
"Higher holiday allowance instead of higher salaries": Some companies will pay out much higher holiday allowance this year, also to reward employees tax-free. (front page, page 10)

Chemical plant explosion
"Explosion wraps Kočevje in sadness": Five people lost their lives in the deadliest industrial accident in Slovenia's history as one more is fighting for his life at the Ljubljana UKC hospital.
