Former Bundesbank President On Bank of Slovenia's Monetary Policy

Ljubljana, 15 October - BANK/SLOVENIA/BUNDESBANK/BIS
Former president of Germany's central bank and incumbent member of the board of the Basel-seated International Bank for International Settlements, Helmut Schlesinger, on a three-day visit to Slovenia at the invitation of the Bank of Slovenia Governor France Arhar, was presented current issues concerning Slovenia's monetary policy and the effect it has on the country's economic stability in Wednesday's talks with Bank of Slovenia senior officials. On conclusion of his visit to Slovenia, Schlesinger told STA that in terms of economic results Slovenia came top among the countries in transition to market economy.
