Delo: Croatia - A Risky Bet
Ljubljana, 17 October - At the moment, the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) would be a real trophy for Croatia, a country that has not even reached a cooperation agreement with the EU, let alone the associate one, while, regionally, Brussels grouped it together with the FR Yugoslavia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Since Croatia does not meet any of the three criteria for membership, it would be foolish of Slovenia, currently presiding over CEFTA, to encourage the Central European organization to admit a "poor" Croatia to CEFTA even if it does not meet the necessary standards, the Friday issue of Delo writes.
