Drnovšek: Slovenia is Able to Cope with its Task in UN Security Council

Membership of the UN Security Council is "a serious test and an important task and responsibility" for Slovenia, but Slovenia can "cope with it and carry it out successfully", Slovenia's Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek said on Friday in his first public statement after Slovenia's election to the UN Security Council, where Slovenia will hold a nonpermanent seat in the years of 1998 and 1999.
