Slovenia Gets Strategy of Joining the EU

In the beginning of October Slovenia got a document entitled the Strategy of the Republic of Slovenia for Accession to the European Union. The document defines the tasks that Slovenia is to carry out until 2001 to ready itself for full EU membership. The strategy drawn up by the government in accordance with decisions of the parliament's spring extraordinary session on foreign policy also defines ways of carrying out the tasks and time limits within which the set goals are to be implemented.
