Minister Dragonja Presents CEFTA to Japanese
Tokyo, 23 October - Slovene Minister of Economic Relations and Development Metod Dragonja, heading a delegation at a conference on promotion of investments in the CEFTA member countries in Tokyo, met on Thursday with Japanese Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Kensei Mizote. The meeting was attended also by Slovenia's Ambassador to Japan Janez Premože. Slovenia, currently holding the CEFTA presidency, was presented to Japanese officials; moreover, Dragonja tackled the importance of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) for Japanese business, the Office for Economic Promotion reported. In his presentation, Dragonja stressed that in doing business with CEFTA member nations Japanese investors often overlook Slovenia despite its being economically developed and regardeless of its good geographic position.
