International Mediator Watts to Meet Friday with Slovene Negotiating Team

Sir Arthur Watts, who arrived in Slovenia on Wednesday evening, will meet with Slovene Foreign Minister Boris Frlec on Friday morning, he told STA. In the afternoon he will hold a meeting in Bled with the Slovene negotiating team for succession to former Yugoslavia, headed by Miran Mejak. Sir Arthur delivered a lecture at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law on Thursday. The lecture centred on the dispute between Slovakia and Hungary over a water power plant on the Danube. The International Court in Hague, whose members he is, ruled in the case in end-September. The parties in conflict should find a solution to the problem within the next six months.
