Delo: Prime Minister Repentans

Ljubljana, 24 October - "If we spend everything, we'll be faced with a deluge, a collapse", the Friday issue of Delo quots the prime minister as saying in Wednesday's interview for National Radio when commenting on a package of economic measures. Premier Janez Drnovšek has rarely come up with similar statements during both of his terms in office. Appeasing and relativizing instead of saying things directly, presenting situations as dramatic as they were was the most serious mistake he has made. Tax payers are paying for his error, the Friday issue of Delo writes. Drnovšek may soon want to make amends, however.
