"Croatia joining Schengen next year?": The Council of the EU has asked the European Parliament for an opinion on Croatia's accession to Schengen next year. Approval by member states is required. (front page)
Maternity hospital
"Renovated rooms in Ljubljana maternity hospital": Renovation of four rooms in the Ljubljana maternity hospital worth EUR 120,000 has been completed. Rooms have been renovated to the highest standards of nursing care, making UKC Ljubljana one of the most modern hospitals in Europe. (front page)

Maribor Airport

Crime
"Doctors need to go to prison in a month": Orthopaedic surgeons convicted of accepting bribes were summoned to start serving their sentences at the end of July.
