National Discussion on Slovene Cultural Policy
Ljubljana, 26 October - TOPIC/DISCUSSION/SLOVENE/CULTURAL/POLICY
The two-day National Discussion on Slovene Cultural Policy, organised by the Slovene Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Council of Europe, wound up Saturday evening with presentation of reports of four topics and the concluding speech by the Slovene Minister of Culture Jožef Školč. More than 200 participants from over 20 European countries discussed the following four topics: the need for new cultural policy; national cultural identity and multi-culturalism; the need for desetatisation/privatisation of public sector in culture and its modernisation; centralisation and decentralisation.
