Successful Operation of Banka Celje
Celje, 30 October - BANKA/CELJE/RESULTS
Slovenia's fifth largest commercial bank, Banka Celje, was successful in the first nine months of 1997, increasing its total assets by a tenth to SIT 102.7 billion in end-September and realizing three quarters of planned profits of SIT 1.2 billion. After a merger with Hmezad banka earlier this year, the bank expanded its market share to 5.5 percent, remaining the fifth largest of Slovenia's 28 banks, director general Niko Kač told a news conference on Thursday.
