Pre-tax profit of banks down 15% in first half of year

Ljubljana, 17 August - In the first half of the year, banks registered in Slovenia generated EUR 212.5 million in pre-tax profit, which is 15.4% less than in the same period last year. The drop is result of higher operating costs and the creation of net impairments and provisions, the central bank said in its latest report on performance of banks.
