93 Percent More Foreigners in 1997
Ljubljana, 3 November - FOREIGNERS/TRANSITION/CENTER
Ljubljana's transition center for foreigners hosted 1827 tenants over the first ten months of this year, 93.13 percent more than last year. The bulk of them came from Rumania (475), the Federal Yugoslav Republic (188), Turkey (161), Iraq (99) and Iran (90), the centre's director Miro Dovžan told a news conference on Monday. He said 163 foreigners, of which 37 are children, are currently hosted in the centre which has a capacity of 155 beds.
