EU Budget Support Until 2006 for New Members
Ljubljana, 15 November - The government's Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development estimates the net budget effect of accession to the European Union will be positive. Slovenia is currently less developed than EU member nations and will as such have the entitlement to receive aid from structural funds and the cohesive fund during the period of the New Financial Prospects between 2000 and 2006, as a part of the Agenda 2000 has been termed. Net inflow of funds may be also expected from the common agricultural policy, IMAD experts say in the latest issue of the Economic Mirror bulletin.
