Mixed Slovene-Macedonian Commission Fails to Reach Agreement on Some Agricultural Products

Ljubljana, 21 November - A mixed Slovene-Macedonian commission held a meeting on Friday, the second day of the visit of a 12-member delegation of the Macedonian government to Slovenia. The government delegation was headed by Macedonia's Economics Minister Boris Rikalovski. The meeting focussed on the economic co-operation between Slovenia and Macedonia and on harmonization of a free trade agreement, Slovenia's Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur said after the meeting. The mixed commission managed to agree on most of the open issues, with the exception of export-import quotas for wine, chicken meat, milk and sausages. According to Senjur, a final agreement is to be reached by the Slovene and Macedonian ministers of agriculture at a meeting in Skopje, Macedonia, likely to occur on 15 December.
