Slovenia's Second Presidential Election

Ljubljana, 23 November - PRESIDENTIAL/ELECTION
3441 polling stations opened at 7.00 o'clock in Slovenia, where 1,551,790 registered voters will select the new head of state for the next five-year term in office among eight presidential candidates. The post will be given to the candidate with the majority of valid votes casts. If none of the candidates garners majority in the first round, a run-off is scheduled for 14 December, when the presidency will be contested by the two presidential candidates with the largest number of valid votes.
