Performance bonuses
"Christmas bonuses still in employers' hands this year": Despite the aggravated economic situation, many companies will pay out Christmas bonuses or performance bonuses to their employees ranging from a few hundred euros to as many as two thousand euros. (front page, 3)
Aid to economy
"Disappointed with aid scheme": The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is unhappy with the upcoming government bill for helping business cope with the energy crisis, as companies are still not able to buy electricity at competitive prices. (front page, 3)
UNESCO
"Great achievement of Slovenian tradition": The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage has placed beekeeping in Slovenia and the Lipizzan horse breeding in Slovenia and seven other countries on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Police
"What is Golob's message to Bobnar and police": The government extended Boštjan Lindav's term as the acting police commissioner, although a call for applications for a full-fledged police chief was launched in August. This is a second vote of no confidence by PM Robert Golob for the leadership of the Interior Ministry and the police. (front page, 2)

"European Union returning to international arena": After a long lull, European politicians are trying to add some weight to the EU and prevent escalation of tensions in the international arena. Illegal waste dumps
"Inspectors avoiding Stanežiče": The local authorities in Ljubljana and two public companies should have removed construction waste from an illegal dump in Stanežiče, on the north-western outskirts of Ljubljana, by 12 November. They have been ordered to pay a EUR 10,000 fine, but the inspector is yet to carry out supervision. (front page, 7)

Firearms
"Purchases of firearms on the rise": The number of applications for licenses for firearms filed at administrative units is increasing every year. The largest number of firearms in Slovenia is still owned by hunters. (front page, 4)
E-cigarettes
"Using e-cigarettes as early as in third grade": Teachers at a primary school have warned parents that the use of electronic cigarettes is dangerously spreading among pupils. The National Institute of Public Health says that this is by no means an isolated case. (front page, 16)
