"Celje people replace mayor after quarter of a century": The biggest upset in the mayoral election run-off was the outcome in Celje where the independent Matija Kovač unseated the long-serving incumbent Bojan Šrot. (front page, pages 2, 3)
EU-Western Balkans
"Rudderlessness of the Balkans and the EU": The upcoming EU-Western Balkans summit will be aimed at urging the acceleration of EU enlargement, and then member states will vote on the proposal to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina candidate status in mid-December. (front page, page 4)

"Kovač and Anželj": The biggest upset of the local election run-off occurred in Celje where young councilman Matija Kovač defeated the long-serving incumbent Bojan Šrot, taking nearly 58%. In Murska Sobota, the new mayor is Damjan Anželj, who has been endorsed by the Social Democrats (SD). (front page, page 4)
