Slovene Astronomer Herman Mikuž Discovers Asteroids

The Minor Planet Centre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, confirmed on Tuesday a discovery of two asteroids discovered on 2 November 1997 by Slovene astronomer Herman Mikuž, an expert who works for the Department of Physics at the Ljubljana Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (FMF), STA learnt Wednesday. The two asteroids have the 17 and 18 magnitudes and belong to the main asteroidal belt between Mars and Jupiter. The newly discovered minor planets are 300 and 340 million km away from the Sun.
