President Kučan Refuses Lustration Documents, Proposes Declaration Condemning Post-War Mass Murders

President Milan Kučan gave a detailed record of his negative opinion he had sent to Parliament on Wednesday concerning the so called lustration documents. In a news conference on Thursday morning, he also pointed out his proposal that the National Assembly pass a declaration on behalf of the Republic of Slovenia as a successor country on Slovenia's position to wartime and post-war events in Slovenia, which would condemn extrajudicial mass murders following world war II and express regret for them.
