Wildfires classified as natural disasters after Kras blaze

Ljubljana, 15 December - The National Assembly passed in a unanimous vote on Thursday changes to the natural disaster recovery act that classify wildfires among natural disasters to enable the use of state budget funds to finance recovery efforts. The government-sponsored changes come after a massive fire in the western Kras region in the summer.
