Government Discusses Salaries and Jobs in Public Administration

Ljubljana, 27 November - GOVERNMENT/SESSION/EMPLOYMENT
The Slovene government discussed wages and employment in public administration at its Thursday's regular session. The debate centered on how the law on institutions regulates powers of a founder, that is ministries. The way the powers are put into practice was also addressed as well as employment trends in public institutions. It was decided that all ministries should answer a questionnaire on employment and their wages until the next session, Deputy Prime Minister Marjan Podobnik said after the session. If any ministry fails to provide the answers by next week its minister will be held responsible, Podobnik stressed.
