Financial administration
"Secret tracking isolating Golob's MPs": As MPs were passing changes to the financial administration act yesterday, the introduction of tracking devices, which are to help discover illegal producers of products for which excise duties must be paid, irked the opposition and the public. ECB
"ECB: Recession will be short and shallow": The ECB Governing Council expects raising interest rates will be required in the future as well, because inflation is "much too high and projections show it will stay high for a while", central bank governor Boštjan Vasle says. (front page, 9)

Football
"Encouraging opinion for UEFA and Čeferin": Advocate general at the Court of Justice of the EU, dealing with the lawsuit of the initiators of a European Super League targeting the football alliances UEFA and FIFA, has confirmed the view of the two alliances that they can take action against the founders of the new competition. Economic crisis
"Will it be impossible to avoid recession": On the one hand Slovenia is currently faced with an internal shock in the eurozone as interests rates are rising while households' demand and investment are dropping, and on the other demand for exports, which Slovenia relies on heavily, will drop, says Sašo Polanec, a professor at the School of Economics and Business. "Leskovškova connection to be concluded by spring": Construction works on the connection of the Leskovškova street to the jubljana Ring Road are slightly behind schedule. The project is expected to be concluded by spring. (front page, 9)
