Fuel prices
"Petrol prices already comparable to pre-war levels": Petrol prices have dropped to the lowest level since the state was forced to reintroduce price regulation after Russia's attack on Ukraine. (front page, 9)

Gas price cap
"The ceiling is 180 euros": After weeks of negotiations EU energy ministers finally agreed on a price cap for natural gas of EUR 180 per MWh. It will apply from 15 February. (front page, 5)

Twitter
"Should I resign? Resign!": Twitter owner Elon Musk asked his 122 million followers whether he should stay on as CEO. More than half, 57.5%, said he should leave. (front page, 6)

Party politics
"Appeal for respect and cooperation": The Social Democrats are satisfied with the government's work, though staffing remains a sticking point. They expect transparent management of state assets. (front page, 2)

Science awards
