Term of SDS MP Magyar terminated after mayoral victory

Ljubljana, 23 December - The term of Democrats (SDS) MP Janez Magyar ceased on Friday after the National Assembly took note that he had been elected the mayor of Lendava, the country's eastern-most town. Under Slovenian law, the posts of mayor and MP are incompatible due to a potential conflict of interest.
