Trade unionists hail lifting of border controls as Croatia enters Schengen

Dragonja, 30 December - Representatives of Slovenian, Croatian and Italian trade unions met at the Slovenian-Croatian border crossing Dragonja on Friday to celebrate Croatia's 1 January entry into the Schengen Area. They stressed that this will make life easier for more than 10,000 workers commuting daily from Croatia to Slovenia or to Italy for work.
