Delo: President Kučan - Politician of the Month

Most of the respondents in the Delo opinion poll published on Monday agreed that President Milan Kučan had the most visible impact in the Slovene political scene in November. As many as 400 of those polled out of 698 chose Kučan for the politician of the month. Placed second was Parliamentary Speaker Janez Podobnik with 245 votes and third SDS Leader Janez Janša with 103 ones. The other politicians that marked the political developments last month were Prime Minister and LDS Leader Janez Drnovšek (59), SKD Leader Lojze Peterle (54), presidential candidate in 23 November presidential elections Jožef Bernik (47), presidential candidate Marjan Cerar (39), Deputy Prime Minister Marjan Podobnik (32) and presidential candidate and National Party of Labour Leader Marjan Poljšak (27).
