STA joining two new EU-funded development projects this year
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Press Agency (STA) is joining two European projects funded as part of the Horizon Europe programme this year. The OMINO project deals with information overload and the TWON project focuses on the mechanisms used by social networks. As part of the OMINO project, the STA in cooperation with partners will foremost develop models and tools to process information for the media industry.
Ski jumper Urša Bogataj ends season early due to injury
LJUBNO OB SAVINJI - Ski jumper Urša Bogataj, who suffered a fall at the women's ski jumping Silvester Tour in Ljubno ob Savinji on Sunday, tore her cruciate ligament, which means she will not be able to compete any more this season, the Slovenian Ski Association said in a press release. The two-time Olympic winner fell in the first round after touching down at 89.5 metres. She was carried from the arena on a stretcher and taken to the Ljubljana UKC hospital. She has already been released from the hospital with her leg immobilised, but she will have to undergo a surgery later.
