Life Expectancy for Slovene Women 77 years, for Men 70 Years

The National Statistical Office has recently published bilingual (Slovene and English) Life Tables for the Population of Slovenia for the periods 1980-1982 - 1994-1995. According to the tables, life expectancy has been on the increase in Slovenia. 60 years ago, men's life expectancy at birth was 50 years and women's 54, while the current life expectancy at birth is 70 years for men and 77 for women.
