Tax Administration on Debt Enforcement

Slovenia's Tax Administration officials presented Wednesday the situation in tax debt enforcement, the volume of debts and the problems occurring in debt enforcement. Marko Danijel Bezjak, Tax Administration's acting director, said a package of measures to intensify debt enforcement was passed this May, which however means only strict application of legal provisions. "It involves immediate enforcement of overdue obligations, while previously the debts were kept waiting until they became unenforceable as is now the case with some taxpayers" Bezjak said.
