Finance Ministers Meet in Graz

Graz, 5 December - Austrian, Hungarian and Slovene Finance Ministers Rudolf Edlinger, Peter Medgyessy and Mitja Gaspari held a meeting in Graz on Friday to discuss ways of helping Slovenia and Hungary to join the EU. This first trilateral meeting in Graz was designed chiefly to get to know each other better and exchange views. More detailed talks are expected to occur at their next meeting to take place in May 1998 in Ljubljana. It is expected to be attended also by representatives of Slovene, Austrian and Hungarian central banks.
