Retrosex starts at Kinodvor to celebrate erotic cinema
Ljubljana, 10 February - Ljubljana's cinema Kinodvor will pay tribute to its former status as an adult movie theatre on Friday with the 10th iteration of its Retrosex erotic film programme. Previously known as Kinosloga, the cinema is celebrating not only its predecessor but also the history of adult cinema. The programme will continue on Valentine's Day.

Kinodvor will take a trip down memory lane, resurrecting for two nights its alter ego that was operating at the same location and was well-known for its erotic programme from the 1960s to the early 1990s.
Kicking the eroticism-fuelled night on Friday will be a 1979 comedy titled 10 by director Blake Edwards. It tells the story of a middle-aged man unhappy with himself and his life who crushes on a "total ten", a young woman whom he has never met and who is portrayed by the 80s sex symbol Bo Derek.
Next, spectators will be able to enjoy I Love You!, a Japanese crossover between a romcom and soft porno, directed by Koji Shiraishi. The film marks studio Nikkatsu's 50th anniversary of its soft porn series Pinku eiga.
Retrosex programme curator Maša Peče said that the third film of the night, the hardcore porno Memories Within Miss Aggie, "is the most bizarre and unique porno ever made." It was directed by Gerard Damiano who also created the 1972 crowd-pleaser Deep Throat.
On 14 February the programme will continue with a modern twist on an infamous pornographic novel about Viennese courtesan Josephine Mutzenbacher by Austrian filmmaker and author Ruth Beckermann. Wrapping up the event will be a Kinosloga 1980s favourite The Hot Nights of Josefine Mutzenbacher by Hans Billian.
With its notorious and progressive reputation, the Kinosloga cinema was definitely considered "unique" in the socialist-era society, Peče told the STA.
Both film nights are part of Ljubljana's new LUV festival, celebrating love, art and wandering. The festival will run until 12 March.
