Slovenia's Central Bank Adopts Several Decisions
Ljubljana, 10 December - The Council of the Bank of Slovenia adopted several decisions and standpoints at its latest session. The Council passed an amendment to the decree on the conditions and the manner of purchase, sale and deposit of foreign currencies with the Slovene central bank so that the Bank of Slovenia will be able to offer a possibility to banks to participate in interventions on the foreign exchange market. The Council also began a discussion on the strategy of Slovenia's integration into the European Union and the European Monetary Union (EMU) with an emphasis on the role of the Slovene central bank.
